What commissions don’t change
No manufacturer pays to appear here or to rank higher. A tool we find poor is presented as poor, even if it’s sold by a retailer we earn commissions from.
Where our information comes from
Manufacturer specs, prices checked and dated, published independent tests: every figure carries its source. We don’t test the tools ourselves. Anything we could not verify is marked as unverified rather than filled in. Our method is detailed on our About page.
Prices
Every price shows the date it was checked. Tool prices move a lot: treat them as a ballpark figure, never as today’s price.
